These terms were written to describe honestly how INTERNET BOSS actually works. They have not been reviewed by a lawyer, and they will be before we take real payments. If something here contradicts the law where you live, the law wins.
REFUNDS
LAST UPDATED · 12 SEP 2026
01 — WHAT YOU PAY
The throne does not have a fixed price. It has a value, and that value is whatever the last project paid for it. To take it you pay more than that. The very first boss pays the floor, $5. After that it only goes up.
So when this page says a full refund, it means everything you paid — not a fixed amount.
02 — AUTOMATIC REFUNDS
Four of these happen on their own, without you writing to anyone. They exist because you can pay for something at the exact moment it stops being available:
- You claimed an empty throne and someone got there first. Two people can pay within the same second. One sits down; the other is refunded in full. Your payment is never quietly turned into something else you did not choose.
- You challenged a boss and the Spotlight could not start. The boss died, the reign ended, another challenge was already running, or the window closed while you were paying. Nothing was published, so there is nothing you received.
- We could not publish the minimum placement. A Spotlight needs your name, your tagline and a working outbound link. If any of those could not be published, the placement never existed and you are refunded in full. A missing logo is not one of these cases — the placement runs without it.
- You defended your throne but the payment arrived after the 5-minute deadline. The duel was already decided.
These go back through the payment provider automatically. If one fails, it is retried, and it stays on our list until it is done.
03 — REFUNDS WE GIVE
You get everything you paid back if:
- We remove you from the front page for a reason that is not your fault.
- We shut the site down before you received what you paid for.
- A failure on our side stopped your battle from happening properly — the site was down for most of it, your link was broken because of us, or attacks were not being counted.
Nothing is charged before your project is reviewed and approved, so a rejection during review never involves a refund: there was no payment.
Refunds go back the way you paid, and usually take five to ten business days depending on your bank.
04 — NO REFUND
Dying quickly is not grounds for a refund. It is the mechanic you bought.
A boss that goes down in twenty minutes went down because a lot of people came to kill it — which means a lot of people saw your product. That is the outcome the product is designed to produce, and the fastest deaths are usually the ones that get shared most.
A Challenger Spotlight that ran is not refunded. This is the one worth reading twice. What you buy when you challenge is the Spotlight placement next to the boss, not the main placement. Once that placement is published, the thing you paid for has been delivered.
- The boss defended and kept the page. Your Spotlight still ran, was still measured, and still has a permanent public record. No refund.
- Your Spotlight got zero views or zero clicks. We never promised a number. A placement nobody clicked is still a placement that was published. No refund.
- Your Spotlight ended before the full 5 minutes because you took the main placement. That is the better outcome, not a shorter delivery: your project moved to the front page. No refund.
There is also no refund if:
- You got fewer views, clicks or attacks than you hoped. We never promised a number.
- You changed your mind after your reign started.
- You lost the throne because someone paid more than you. That is the game. Your reign happened, it is in the archive, and it kept everything it earned.
- We removed you for breaking the terms — submitting someone else's brand, a misleading link, or illegal content.
05 — IF YOU THINK SOMETHING WENT WRONG
Write to hello@internetboss.lol and tell us what happened. We would rather refund a borderline case than argue about it.
If you dispute the charge with your bank instead of writing to us, the bank fee costs us several times most payments. We will still look at it, but an email is faster for both of us.
06 — HOW WE DECIDE
One person decides, and the test is simple: did you receive what you bought? For a claim or a defense, that means a real reign on the front page. For a challenge, it means a published Spotlight. If yes, the service was delivered whatever the result. If no, you get your money back.
