These terms were written to describe honestly how INTERNET BOSS actually works. They have not been reviewed by a lawyer, and they will be before we take real payments. If something here contradicts the law where you live, the law wins.
TERMS
LAST UPDATED · 12 SEP 2026
01 — THE THREE THINGS YOU CAN BUY
There are three separate purchases on INTERNET BOSS, and they are not the same product. What you get, and when you get a refund, depends on which one you made.
1 · CLAIM — the main placement. Your project becomes the only boss on the front page. While it is live it has 25 HP and stays up for a maximum of 24 hours. Every verified visitor can attack it exactly once, and each attack removes 1 HP. The throne has no fixed price: it is worth whatever the last project paid, and to take it you pay more. The floor — what the very first boss paid — is $5.
2 · CHALLENGE SPOTLIGHT — an advertising placement. You buy a Challenger Spotlight next to the current boss on the front page, for the defense window: up to 5 minutes. It shows your name, your tagline, your logo when you have one, and a link people can click. Views and outbound clicks on that placement are measured and published, and you get a permanent public record of it.
The Spotlight can end sooner than the full window. If the boss does not answer, your project also moves to the main placement — and the Spotlight ends at that moment, because your project is no longer the challenger. That is a better outcome, not a shorter delivery, and the public record shows the real duration either way.
3 · DEFENSE — keeping the main placement. When someone challenges your reign you have 5 minutes to pay more and keep the page. If you do not, they take it and your reign ends early. Defending does not heal your HP and does not restart your clock: the same reign continues exactly as it was. A successful defense raises the throne value to what you paid, so the next challenge costs more.
Who takes the payment. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record: they charge you, issue your receipt and handle applicable tax.
02 — WHAT EACH OUTCOME MEANS
- The boss survives the full 24 hours. The reign ends and goes to the archive as survived.
- The boss is killed. HP reaches zero and the reign ends early. It received exactly what was sold: the main placement and the attention of everyone who came to kill it.
- The boss defends a challenge. They keep the main placement. The challenger does not take the page, and the Spotlight they bought was still delivered.
- The boss does not defend. The challenger moves to the main placement with 25 HP and 24 hours, and their Spotlight ends at that moment.
- The boss loses the position while a challenge is open. The challenger moves to the main placement immediately, and the Spotlight ends there — earlier than the full window.
Your project stays publicly visible after any of these. Every project keeps a permanent profile page, and every Spotlight keeps a permanent public record that links to it — including projects that never held the main placement.
03 — WHAT WE DO NOT PROMISE
We make no guarantee of any of the following:
- A minimum number of views, clicks, attacks, customers or sales.
- That a Challenger Spotlight runs for the full 5 minutes. It runs for the defense window and can end sooner.
- Any views or clicks on a Challenger Spotlight. A placement with zero of both was still published and delivered.
- That your battle lasts the full 24 hours. Most bosses die early. That is the mechanic.
- Any particular return on what you paid.
- That you keep the front page for the full 24 hours. Another project can pay more and take it.
A boss that dies in twenty minutes received exactly what was sold: a front page slot and the attention of everyone who came to kill it.
04 — WHAT YOU CONFIRM WHEN YOU SUBMIT
By submitting a project you confirm that you own it or are authorised to promote it. You may not submit:
- A company, person or brand that is not yours.
- A competitor, to mock or damage them.
- Anything illegal where we or our visitors are.
- Phishing, malware, or a link that changes into either after review.
05 — REVIEW AND REMOVAL
Every submission is reviewed by a person before it can buy anything. We can reject anything, for any reason. Nothing is charged before approval, so a rejection costs you nothing.
If we discover a problem after your battle has started, we can remove you from the front page immediately. Whether that comes with a refund depends on why: a mistake on our side is refunded, a breach of these terms is not.
06 — ATTACKS AND FAIRNESS
We filter automated attacks and count only verified ones. We cannot promise that every single attack came from a distinct human being: no site without user accounts can. What we can promise is that we do not add, remove or alter attacks ourselves, and that the numbers we publish are the numbers our database holds.
07 — YOUR CONTENT
You keep everything you own. You give us permission to display your name, tagline, logo, screenshot and link on the site, including in the permanent record after your battle ends and in social images generated for sharing.
The record is permanent. Your battle stays in the graveyard with its numbers and your link. That is part of what you bought, and we do not delete it because a battle went badly.
08 — THE SITE ITSELF
This is an experiment. It can go down, change, or stop existing. If we shut it down we will refund anyone who paid and never received what they paid for — a reign or a Spotlight placement.
We are not liable for indirect losses — lost sales, lost time, damage to reputation. Our total liability to you is limited to what you actually paid us.
09 — CHANGES
If we change these terms, the version that applies to your battle is the one in force when you paid.
